Shreya Muthu, DO
Dr. Muthu was born in Casa Grande, Arizona, and grew up in a family of physicians, often spending time at her parents’ internal medicine clinic. She attended Arizona Christian University and earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Muthu was drawn to neurology through her passion for caring for patients who have experienced strokes. During her third-year training at a rural hospital, she cared for stroke patients in the intensive care unit and developed an appreciation for the multidisciplinary approach to their treatment and recovery. She values building long-term relationships with patients and their families and hopes to pursue a fellowship in stroke neurology. Dr. Muthu chose THMEP because of its close-knit community and the collaboration and camaraderie she experienced during her fourth-year rotation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Muthu enjoys hiking, baking cheesecakes, exploring new restaurants, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with her Australian Shepherd, Maple-Bacon.
