Residency Salary Stipend 2024-2025
- PGY 1 - $64,061
Additional Annual Residency Stipends
- Benefit Stipend $3,800 – to offset the employee contribution to health insurance.
- Education Stipend $1,500 – reimbursed expenses that include step 3 and other approved educational resources.
- Meal Allowance – residents receive a meal allowance based on their schedule and training year. Funds are loaded onto ID badges to be used at Tucson Medical Center.
Residency Benefits
- All THMEP residents receive four weeks paid time off per year.
- All TMC Health Medical Education residents are employees of Tucson Medical Center. To explore the most up-to-date offering please visit the TMC Benefits page.
- Professional Liability Insurance: while performing duties that are normally included in the training program. (Includes "tail coverage”).
- Paid orientation prior to the start of residency, including BLS/ACLS certification.
- Transitional Residency year starts June 24th and ends June 23rd of the following year. This allows all residents to have the last week of June off - not counting against vacation time - in order to move to advanced programs.
