Resident Wellness

In alignment with ACGME Common Program Requirements, our institution is committed to fostering a culture that prioritizes the well-being of residents, fellows, and faculty. We recognize that physician wellness is essential to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Our wellness program promotes meaningful clinical work, manageable workloads, psychological and physical safety, and access to confidential mental health resources. We support trainees through policies that encourage appropriate time away from work for personal health, family needs, parental leave, and other life events without fear of negative consequences.
Through ongoing assessment, feedback, and continuous improvement, we strive to create a respectful, supportive, and resilient training environment where learners can thrive both professionally and personally. Our institutional wellness efforts also include clear coverage plans, support systems during times of need, and initiatives designed to reduce burnout and enhance engagement, purpose, and joy in medicine.
