Medical Student Rotations
In partnership with Tucson Medical Center, THMEP is proud to host medical students from various schools for clinical rotations, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience in a real-world healthcare setting. We have established affiliation agreements with each participating school, ensuring a structured and supportive environment for the students. These partnerships allow us to contribute to the education and professional development of future healthcare providers while benefiting from the fresh perspectives and enthusiasm that these students bring to our healthcare community. Students typically participate in these rotations during their 3rd and 4th years of medical school, gaining critical clinical skills and knowledge that will serve them throughout their careers. Through these collaborative efforts, Tucson Medical Center continues to foster a culture of learning and excellence in patient care.
Students on each rotation are paired with a preceptor, who provides guidance, mentorship, and supervision throughout their clinical experience. These preceptors are experienced healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting the students' educational journey. The rotations are carefully coordinated with the students' medical schools to ensure that the curriculum aligns with their academic requirements and learning objectives. This collaboration ensures that students receive a comprehensive and cohesive educational experience, preparing them for successful careers in medicine
