Internal Medicine Residency Block Schedule
The Internal Medicine Residency Block Schedule consists of two-four week rotations starting June 24 - June 23. Starting your first rotation on June 24 will allow a week of move time at the end of your third year if you choose to start a fellowship July 1. New Resident Orientation is two weeks before your first rotation start date.
During your residency you will complete rotations at the following sites:
Inpatient Medicine

- Pima Heart and Vascular (Pima)
Residency Training Year One – PGY1
Internal Medicine - TMC (9 weeks)
Internal Medicine - VA (9 weeks)
Community Medicine - TMCOne, ACP, OPTUM (8 weeks)
Critical Care - TMC (4 weeks)
Geriatrics - El Rio (4 weeks)
Quality - TMC (3 weeks)
Women’s Health – Genesis (2 weeks)
Electives (9 weeks)
Vacation (4 weeks)
Residency Training Year Two – PGY2

Internal Medicine Night Float – TMC (4 weeks)
Internal Medicine – VA (3 weeks)
Community Medicine - TMC One, ACP, OPTUM (8 weeks)

Elective Options
Addiction, Allergy/Immunology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, ENT, GI, Hematology/Oncology, HIV, Nephrology, Pulmonary, Radiology, Sports Medicine, Infectious Disease. Any core rotation can also be repeated as an elective.
